The Gracefulness of A Hijab

Basmallah. The very first introduction for our sisters.Sorry if this trial fear you out.And sorry beforehand to make a different step to write in English. And before you start to think that this is unacceptable to understand, please, please and please lets us give ourselves a chance to improvise our soft skills by reading an article wrote in these language at the very least once in a fortnight. And insyaallah,ALLAH’s willing this article will be an easy-acceptable-way for you to read it.

As this article is specially dedicated to all my beloved sisters, thus I had picked a very interesting subject to be further disscuss, that is The Hijab. All Muslims women have to cover theirselves except for the face and both palms. But the `al-Kafirun’ had always misdirected hijab as a sense of “tradition”.Islam is universal and eternal. This apart, women all over the world, non-Arabs, are embracing Islam and wearing the hijab as a religious requirement and this had obviously proved them wronged.Hijab is not a part of racial or traditional identity and it has no social or political significance; it is, purely and simply, the religious identity.

In advance, why did The Almighty ALLAH SWT told us to do so?To make it easy, lets us take an example-the pea is a splendid plant. It proudly displays its strong green Hijab. It protects it from the hot and cold weather and guards it from insects. Allah has blessed the pea with a special Hijab, because without it, the seeds would scatter, dry up and die.The orange keeps itself within its shiny orange Hijab to protect its delicious fruit. Otherwise it loses its taste too.So are the banana, the coconut and the pomegranate. Each one has an elegant and unique Hijab, which protects it from disease and destruction. The jewel of the sea, the pearl, has been given a very tough and rugged Hijab - oyster shell. It protects it from sea animals and keeps it sparkling and shining inside.

However, the most beloved of Allah in all His creation is the Muslim girl who wears the Hijab. She knows it is a gift from Allah. It protects her from harm, injury and mischief. She wears it knowing it gives her dignity, beauty and respect. So precious she can be that she hides herself beneath her Hijab.

Hijab a sign of obedience towards Allah and a manifestation of our faith. We did not need to utter beliefs, the hijab stated them clearly for all to see, especially fellow Muslims, and thus it helped to strengthen the bonds of sisterhood in Islam.Wearing the hijab soon became spontaneous and purely voluntary. No human being could force us to wear it; if they had, perhaps someone would have rebelled and rejected it.As a conclusion I had included a beautiful poem for my beloved honourable sisters regarding our precious hijab and lets us try our best to wear it completely as what Our Creator had told us to do so.

You look at me and call me oppressed,

Simply because of the way I’m dressed,

You know me not for what’s inside,

You judge the clothing I wear with pride,

My body is not for your eyes to hold,

You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mould,

I’m an individual, I’m no mans slave,

It’s Allah’s pleasure that I only crave,

I have a voice so I will be heard,

For in my heart I carry His word,

“O ye women, wrap close your cloak, so you won’t be bothered by ignorant folk”,

Man doesn’t tell me to dress this way,

It’s a law from God that I obey,

Oppressed is something I’m truly NOT,

For liberation is what I’ve got,

It was given to me many years ago,

With the right to prosper, the right to grow,

I can climb mountains or cross the seas,

Expand my mind in all degrees,

For God Himself gave us LIB-ER-TY,

When He sent Islãm,

To You and Me!
